Sanctuary for both horse and rider
At AVF, our mission is the education of fair and horse friendly horsemanship as well as the classical education of horse and rider according to the traditional German "reitausbildung". In addition to bringing up dressage performance horses, Avalon Farm is dedicated to producing high quality dressage prospects with two to four foals a year from select old and proven bloodlines.
ABOUT AVALON FARM FACILITIES
Avalon Farm has a large barn with an 18 stall barn, and a 4 stall barn. The main barn has two wash stalls with heat lamps, hot and cold water, a large tack room, laundry room, bathroom, and large area for storage.
Avalon Farm is situated immediately on the North Salem bridle trails which allows easy access.
In Fall of 2015, the 100 x 200 indoor was completed, with 14 garage doors looking out, a heated / air conditioned viewing room with a fridge, microwave and sink. The indoor has an additional bathroom.
The outdoor fits a 120 x 60 dressage arena, with additional room around the outside.
There are over 15 grass turnouts - some with run in sheds, as well as four all weather medical paddocks. There is also a round pen for lunging, liberty work and in hand work.
